Hal tersebut diungkapkan Fatoni saat menghadiri pembukaan Rakerda IV PDI Perjuangan Provinsi Sumsel dengan tema “Kedaulatan PanganUntuk Kesejahteraan Rakyat Indonesia” bertempat di Main Dining Hall, JSC Palembang, Jumat, (20/10/2023).
“Kehadiran saya di Sumsel mendapatkan perintah untuk bekerja dengan waktu yang singkat. Saya ingin berbuat banyak dan ini perlu sinergi dan kolaborasidari semua pihak dalam menyamakan persepsi menyatukan langkah bersama membangun Sumsel,” katanya.
Dikatakan Fatoni Pemprov dan Pemkab/Pemkot berkomitmen agar pelaksanaan pilkada dan pemilu di Sumsel berjalan lancar, baik dan sukses di segala bidang. “Untuk itu, sudah dialokasikan anggaran Untuk Mensukseskan Pemilu dan Pilkada yaitu 40 persen padatahun 2023 dan 60 persen untuk tahun depan,” ujarnya.
Terkait penanganan Karhutla, Ia bersama Forkopimda, Pemkab/Pemkot, dan perusahaan telah berkolaborasi dalam berbagai upaya pengendalian karhutla agar segera dapat diatasi.
“Semua kita lakukan dengan memperkuat kedaulatan pangan di Sumsel. Bersyukur Sumsel menjadi lumbung pangan. Stok pangan cukup hinggabulan Maret 2024. Kita berharap hasil pertanian Sumsel mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dalam dan luar daerah,” ujarnya
Untuk pengendalian inflasi, Fatoni ungkapkan pihaknya telah melaksanakan gerakan pangan murah untuk memudahkan masyarakat membeli bahan pokok yang lebih murah dari harga pasaran. Diungkapnya, kegiatan ini juga telah dikoordinasikan bersama forkopimdan dan Para Bupati/Walikota se-Sumsel.
