Merangin, Jambi, Radar Keadilan –Aktivitas penambangan emas ilegal di kawasan Nalo Tantan, Kabupaten Merangin, Jambi, semakin marak dan mengancam lingkungan. Tim Pengamanan Peduli Lingkungan HTI PT. Tim yang berjumlah enam orang menemukan bukti aktivitas penambangan ilegal di sekitar Dusun Patekun dan Delonix, sekitar 40 km dari pos mereka. Sungai Kunyit yang berada di dekat dusun tersebut terlihat berwarna coklat keruh, indikasi pencemaran akibat aktivitas pertambangan. Tim juga mendapati dua warga yang sedang mengangkut solar, diduga untuk mesin-mesin tambang.

Penambangan ilegal ini terpusat di koordinat (-1.994649, 101.963734), di area Patekun. Berdasarkan pantauan drone, terdapat dua ekskavator merk Cat dan dua mesin Robin yang dioperasikan oleh sekitar 15 orang penambang. Informasi dari Kadus Patekun, Bapak Saer, menyebutkan bahwa ekskavator didatangkan oleh seseorang bernama Kacik dari Desa Sungai Ula.
Tidak hanya penambang skala besar, warga setempat juga turut melakukan penambangan tradisional. Keuntungan besar dari penjualan emas menjadi daya tarik utama. Emas hasil tambang, yang berbentuk butiran, dijual langsung di lokasi atau di Kota Bangko dengan harga fantastis, mencapai Rp1.300.000 per gram.
Tim Pengamanan Peduli Lingkungan telah mendokumentasikan seluruh temuan dan akan melaporkan temuan ini kepada pihak berwajib. Mereka berharap agar pemerintah segera mengambil tindakan tegas untuk menghentikan aktivitas ilegal ini dan melindungi lingkungan dari kerusakan yang semakin parah.
