Ogan Komering Ilir, RK.com –PemerintahKabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir terus berupaya mengatasi persoalan stunting dengan mengusung program Bapak/Bunda Asuh Anak Stunting (BAAS). Program ini merupakan tindaklanjut program BAAS yang telah di launching tahun 2023 lalu dengan menyasar sebanyak 293 bayi di bawah usia dua tahun (Baduta).
Dijelaskan KepalaDinas Pengendalian Penduduk danKeluarga Berencana, (DPPKB) OKI, Saparudin.program BAAS diluncurkan pada akhir tahun lalu, bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah stunting di kalangan anak-anak dengan melibatkan para Bapak/Bunda Asuh yang merupakan seluruh pimpinan organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD).
“Tugas para orang tua asuh anak stunting ini antara lain melakukan monitoring terhadap anak-anak stunting by name by adrees,” Ungkap dia.
Dia menjabarkan, 293 anak yang telah terjangkau program ini tersebar di wilayah Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir.

Sementara itu, Pj. Bupati OKI, Asmar Wijaya menyampaikan program Bapak /Bunda Asuh Anak Stunting ini fokus pada komitmen berkelanjutan dari para pemangku kepentingan dan stakeholder dalam memberikan dan menyalurkan bantuan serta melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap gizi anak asuhnya.
“Kerjasama dan dukungan dari berbagai sektor serta jadi kunci keberhasilan program kegiatan Bapak/Bunda Asuh Anak Stunting ini dapat dan penurunan stunting di OKI,” Imbuhnya.
Pj Bupati juga memastikan program ini akan terus berlanjut. Pemkab akan selalu melakukan pemantauan serta evaluasi untuk mengetahui apabila terjadi kendala di lapangan, sehingga program tersebut bisa disempurnakan.
“Mudah-mudahan melalui program ini akan ada penurunan signifikan sesuai target nasional turun ke 14 persen,” ujarnya.
Ia berpesan agar anak-anak yang terindikasi stunting di OKI terus dijaga pertumbuhan dengan memberikan makanan yang bergizi, terutama ikan dan telur, karena mereka membutuhkan protein agar terhindar dari stunting. (Ril)
